Ping grew up loving art and baking. In order to find a job after graduation, she went to school for a business degree, but she found herself spending all her free time baking, reading cookbooks, watching online tutorials, and experimenting in her kitchen. Upon graduating from Columbia University, Ping took up a position as an actuary with Deloitte in New York City. However, many days, she would daydream about becoming a baker.
Ping’s passion for baking and cake designing grew stronger each day and she found herself the happiest when she was sharing her delectable treats with others. Six years later, she let go of the corporate job to take a chance. In 2016, Ping founded Rolling Ping, LLC, dedicating herself to providing her clients with high end designed custom cakes that bring a smile on their faces. While it was a tough decision, she was excited about the opportunity to work with her clients in creating their dream cakes. Loving a vegan diet herself, Ping also offers gluten free, low sugar, vegan, and raw vegan cakes, besides regular ingredients. In her free time, Ping serves as a proud "Sugar Angel" by creating cakes for Icing Smiles, a non-profit organization that provides custom celebration cakes to families impacted by the critical illness of a child.
Besides sharing her custom cakes in New Jersey and New York City, Ping also creates edible dessert toppers that can be shipped internationally through her RollingPing store on Etsy. She is a firm believer in hard work, integrity, and has an appreciation towards all beauty in life as her inspiration.
