Hi, I'm Ping.
I loved good food and making good food ever since I was little, thanks to my mom and grandma. I started to experiment with the oven after moving to the US for college. While there, I quickly became the girl who made everyone's birthday cake. I received a Master of Science degree from Columbia University and worked in finance for 6 years before quitting the corporate job to pursue my passion by attending culinary school. In 2017, I graduated as the Student of the Class and a scholarship recipient from International Culinary Center. After an internship with Ron Ben Israel in New York City, I became the chef and owner of Rolling Ping Custom Cakes. My cakes are known for their innovative, modern, and sophisticated style, with specialty in sculpting, painting, and making realistic flowers out of buttercream, sugar paste, rice paper, and chocolate. In my free time, I love spending time with my two toddlers, and volunteer to make cakes for Icing Smiles, a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. I also offer cooking and pastry lessons in NJ.
As you click through the photos in the gallery, you will find that each of my cakes has a story and a fond memory. I go above and beyond to deliver each of my work and never compromise in ingredients and craftsmanship. I have worked with clients from all walks of life to bring their vision into reality. Let me help you create your next beautiful memory.
